The GIC is a non-profit corporation which provides support and education for the entire gender community. The meetings take place at 1151 S Huron St, Denver, CO 80223 (on Mississippi, just west of Santa Fe) Their support group schedule includes:GET-TOGETHERS Saturdays @ 7:00 PM
Saturday is a chance to meet other people in the gender community. Minimal structure. Anyone is welcome. Sometimes the group will migrate to restaurants or other entertainment later in the evening.
Mondays @ 7:00
Monday evening is like Saturday evening, but quieter. Calmer. Fewer people. Longer conversations.
Self-discovery. Not everyone transitions; a lot of people are androgynous--they have a blend of "typically female" and "typically male" interests and personality traits. A mixture means that an individual doesn't feel comfortable in either a women's group or a men's group.
What do "female" and "male"; "woman" and "man" mean in the first place? This group might be called Gender Identity 101. It's a good place to start for anyone new to the gender community.
