They haven't talked to me since. I suspect it is because of the company owner's attitude. We we had a chance meeting, he told me that I was immoral and he hated coming to work now that I had told him. Their silence makes me very apprehensive. The last time I was laid off, a period of silence preceded it. I want to be the least disruptive that I can be for the company. I want them to engage me just a little about it so they can understand. But their silence scares me. I was going to start transitioning on the job, coming out on 1 Mar 10. But my immediate boss was gone all this week.
